Roskilde University

Roskilde University (RUC) was established in 1972 with the purpose of conducting research and teaching at the highest level. It comprises of six institutions which offer a wide range of courses at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The institutions are: the Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies, the Department of Environmental, Social and Spatial Change, the Department of Science, Systems and Models, Department of Psychology and Educational Studies, and the Institute for Society and Globalization.

Thanks to our flexible degree pathways students can enter into one of the four bachelor degrees: natural science, humanities, social science or technical science. Each of these bachelor programs start with basic studies and allow students to gradually develop interests in relation to a desired professional profile.

The institute that is most closely linked to the North Sea Screen Partnership is the Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies (CBIT), an innovative and interdisciplinary academic environment that combines science, social sciences and humanities to study interactions between communication companies and information technology in theory and practice.

CBIT provides research, education and communication in journalism, communication, performance design, business economics, business administration and computer science and informatics. The Department sees its role as contributing with new knowledge that translates scientific analysis into useful tools for strategic and operational management of development and changes processes in society and its businesses, cultural institutions, media houses, government organizations and non-governmental organizations.
