What if you could chose your own way to receive your favourite story?
Most people have grown accustomed to receiving a story from either a book, a screen, a TV-series or a film. But the arrival of new media and technologies changes the distribution landscape. iPad, mobile phones and text messages. Both separately and combined they open up to new storytelling techniques and new ways to generate audience participation. Future jobs will now belong to the story-architects and experience designers that can create no less than a story universe that encompasses many media instead of the traditional, one-media isolated stories.
Filmby Aarhus, one of the partner organisations in NSSP, is co-hosting an entertaining and inspiring conference about cross media storytelling, new audience experiences and how to foster participation through social media. The conference, NOW IS DIGITAL is taking place on the 2nd of September 2010 in Aarhus and is organised by Headstart New Media Network and Filmby Aarhus’s Cross Media Network.
NOW IS DIGITAL will address three areas that in the years to come will change the media landscape dramatically.
1. The relation between audience, media and content is changing. Participation and involvement are keywords in the way future entertainment, marketing and communication will be received.
2. New possibilities for business models and revenue generation have arisen which involves for example the audience in new ways.
3. Untraditional and surprising collaborations across competencies and businesses have become a necessity in the media landscape. No one can do it all alone.
Among the speakers you will find Monique de Haas (NL) who has been a pioneer in the cross media field for more than 10 years and is a renowned expert and popular speaker on the area. She considers cross media as the natural result of the media development and counsels business and organisations in cross media strategies, trans media productions and how to generate a revenue across the many media platforms.
She has been Special Advisor in cross media policy to the EU until 2006 and has worked together with Merrill Lynch Venture Capital, Hewlett-Packard, Ernst & Young, Sony International, Telefonica and IBM in how to use cross media as a part of your media strategy and communication.
